Wild Hearts - Controls

Wild Hearts Controls

Wild Hearts uses an action-hunting controller layout built around movement, weapon attacks, dodging, healing, Hunter Vision, and Karakuri construction. The core controls stay the same across hunts, but each weapon has its own attack flow, special moves, and timing.

Additional Notes

Wild Hearts lets players adjust several control settings, including lock-on behavior, Karakuri stance behavior, hold timing, camera options, and button prompts depending on platform. Weapon-specific attacks also change depending on the weapon equipped, so Square / X, Triangle / Y, and R2 / RT may behave differently across katana, bow, maul, nodachi, claw blade, cannon, wagasa, and staff.

  • Karakuri Stance is one of the most important inputs because it lets you build tools during combat.
  • R1 / RB is used for sprinting, grabbing, and stowing your weapon depending on the situation.
  • Hunter Vision helps track Kemono, resources, and important objects.
  • Food can be used before hunts to gain useful stat bonuses.
  • Controls can be adjusted from the options menu.
