Fe is a quiet exploration adventure built around sound, nature, movement, and observation. The game rarely explains everything directly, so progress often depends on watching the environment, listening to creatures, learning new voices, and using the right plant or animal ability at the right time.
Use Singing Everywhere
Singing is the heart of Fe. Use it near animals, plants, flowers, and mysterious objects. If something reacts to sound, keep experimenting with distance, angle, and voice type until you understand what it does.
Match the Right Voice to the Right Creature
Different creatures respond to different voices. As you unlock more animal languages, switch voices often and test them near wildlife. Befriending animals can open routes, reveal paths, or help you reach new areas.
Follow Guide Birds
Once you befriend a bird, singing loudly for a few seconds can call it to you. Sing again and it can guide you toward your next objective, which is very useful when you feel lost in the forest.
Collect Pink Crystals
Pink crystals unlock new abilities as you collect more of them. Some are easy to see, while others are hidden behind cages, caves, climbing routes, or environmental puzzles. Search carefully instead of only following the main path.
Use Bomb Seeds on Silent One Cages
Many blocked caves and crystal locations are sealed by Silent One cages. Look nearby for bomb plants, grab a seed, carry it carefully, and throw it at the cage to break the barrier.
Look for Climbable Trees
Trees are often the key to reaching higher platforms, hidden ledges, and crystal locations. If a cliff looks unreachable, search nearby for a trunk or branch route that lets you climb around it.
Glide Before You Fall
Gliding is essential for crossing gaps and surviving long drops. Press and hold the jump button while falling to extend your movement and land safely on distant platforms.
Watch Out for Silent Ones
Silent Ones are dangerous enemies that patrol areas and capture forest creatures. Stay aware of their line of sight, move quietly when needed, and avoid rushing through areas where they are active.
Use the Environment Instead of Fighting
Fe is not a direct combat game. Most threats are handled through stealth, movement, puzzle solving, singing, or environmental tools. If something seems impossible to defeat, look for another route or nearby object.
Check Caves and Side Paths
The main path usually leads forward, but the best rewards are often hidden in caves, behind plants, above ledges, or along side routes. Explore every branch before leaving an area.
Listen to Audio Cues
Sound is one of the game's biggest clues. Creature calls, plant reactions, and environmental audio can help you understand what nearby objects are connected to.
Use the Map When You Feel Lost
The forest can be confusing because many paths loop together. Open the map whenever you lose direction, then combine it with guide birds and visible landmarks to find your next route.
Revisit Areas After Unlocking Abilities
Some collectibles cannot be reached the first time you visit an area. New abilities, voices, and movement options let you return later and access places that were previously blocked.
Be Patient With Platforming
Many jumps require climbing, gliding, and careful camera positioning. If you keep missing a jump, slow down, line up the camera, and look for a higher starting point.
Observe Creature Behavior
Animals often show you what to do. Watch where they move, what they react to, and how they respond when you sing. Their behavior can point toward hidden mechanics and puzzle solutions.
Do Not Rush Through the Forest
Fe is designed to reward curiosity. Move slowly, sing often, explore vertical spaces, and treat every new creature or plant as a possible tool for progression.
